Next Men’s Meetings November 18^th @ 2pm

SOCIAL CALENDAR: The lodge has put together a social calendar for the next year.  Please mark your calendars with the dates.  Please note some of the new exciting gatherings planned! 

THOUGHTS & PRAYERS: Please keep your fellow members and their families in your thoughts and prayers.  Please let us know if there are members or family of members that need our prayers.

MONTHLY MEETING: We would love to see your faces!  Haven’t been to monthly lodge meeting in a while? Please mark your calendars and join us!

SHELTER:  The shelter area is available to Lodge & Auxiliary Members and their families for picnics and other social gatherings.   Remember to contact AJ Forneris at 515-971-6711 to reserve the shelter area.  Also, the bocce ball court is available for play and there is a fire pit for your enjoyment.  

ORDERING LODGE APPAREL:  Squire Hutcheson has made arrangements with Adventure in Advertising offering Lodge & Auxiliary Members through a secure website to purchase apparel (polo, T-shirts) with the Lodge logo on it.  To obtain a user ID or for more information please contact Squire at 515-577-4283 or email him at squire@squireweb.net.

NEWSLETTER:  The lodge would like to hear from you!  We are blessed with a monthly newsletter that keeps us informed with current events as well as recipes, history and other entertaining content.  We want to know if you would like to continue receiving the newsletter(we hope you do!) and if so, would you prefer to have it mailed or emailed to you.  Please contact Rob Fiori, either at carltree@msn.com or mail him at 1717 Falcon Dr. Polk City, IA 50226.  If you email him, use “Newsletter” in the subject line.  We want to have all responses in by November 17^th.

NOVEMBER MEETING 

Our last meeting for 2018 will be on November 18^th at 2:00 pm.  Marie Hutchison and Vicki Hutchison Cook will provide refreshments.

6^th ANNUAL CHRISTMAS AT THE LODGE – NOVEMBER 3^RD 10:00 am to 3:00 pm 

Plan to join us for our annual Craft, Vendor and Bake Sale.  No charge to attend and all the proceeds from the Cavatelli and Bake Sale go directly to the auxiliary to fund our annual scholarships.  We have some amazing vendors lined up this year so please get out and support them!! “Cavatelli-To-Go” will be served from 11:00 to 1:00 so come hungry.

Auxiliary members are asked to donate items for the Bake Sale – drop off Friday Nov 2^nd from 5:00 to 7:00 or the morning of the event.

MEMORIAL MASS

The Memorial Mass will be held Sunday November 4^th at 9:00 am.  Those being honored by the auxiliary include Wanda Turchi and Mary Ladurini.  Donuts and coffee will be served following the mass.

CHRISTMAS PARTY 

This year’s party will be held on December 9^th at 1:00pm.  This event is open to lodge and auxiliary members, widows, and their families.  Santa will have gifts for children ages 0 – 10.  Please bring along donations of cookies, cakes, etc.… for the cake walk so we have enough for each child to win at least once.  As always we will be collecting items for the local food pantry so please bring what you can spare.

JANUARY SOCIAL 

We had so much fun last year we are doing it again.  Bunco Night – January 12^th at 5:00 pm.  We will hold our January meeting at 3:00 pm.  We will supply pizza – please bring and appetizer, dip, sweet, etc. to share and something for you to drink.
